DoughPro
DoughPro is a money app for people who have been told their whole lives that finance is not for them. Most finance products either talk down to those people or assume they already know, and both say the same thing: this is not for you. We redrew the mascot, built the component set and brand materials around it, and designed the app it lives in.

Who the product is for
We drew this for people entering adulthood with the banks they inherited. What they were missing was the ability to read their own money: what came in, what went out, and what any of it means. So the product has to do two jobs at once, get someone to keep going and teach them what they are doing while they do it.

Why it is drawn as a cartoon
We redrew the mascot and built the component set around it. Everything is 2D and cartoon, which is what reads as friendly to someone who expects finance to be cold.

Built around coming back
Saving is a habit before it is a skill, so the app is built around coming back. Streaks, small wins and a balance you can read at a glance give someone a reason to open it, and each one explains what just happened. We wanted it gamified enough to keep someone going and educational enough that they end up knowing more than when they started.

Colour that reads warm
Warm where the category is cold. A charcoal to sit against, an earth and an orange to lead with, and two near-whites to breathe.
